The South Texas Alliance of Career Champions (STACC) in collaboration with the career consortiums around Texas is proud to bring you our Summer Series 2021. This is a selection of four hour long presentations designed to help employers recruit student talent efficiently and effectively.

The format of the Summer Series will be both panel discussions and individual presentations with timely information, tips and techniques for developing employer’s awareness of successful recruiting strategies.

EVENT TOPICS:

• “Are We Really Back to Normal?”

  • A discussion of the impact of the pandemic on recruiting strategies and techniques. What will we keep doing? What will we stop doing?

• “What Does Professionalism Look Like Today”

  • Times have changed about how a student presents themselves to an employer. What criteria is appropriate for measuring an employer/student interaction? This will be a panel discussion between recruiters and career services reps.

 

• “You Kicked Me Out Because of Some AI Software?!”

  • Many employers are using AI software for initial resume screening. This will be a panel discussion between recruiters and career services reps to review if this action removes great talent from consideration just because of a bad resume.

• “How to Attract a Diverse Pool of Candidates”

  • A discussion about how a company has had great success with expanding their DEI initiative.
