Bruce Howard
Executive Director
Bruce presently serves as the Executive Director of the South Texas Alliance of Career Champions (STACC). In this role he will lead campaigns to increase awareness of the value of the talent produced by local schools, colleges and universities. STACC was formed as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization to impact economic and workforce development in Texas by creating equitable access to career opportunities for first generation students, veterans and other under-served populations through in-depth educational events such as workshops, conferences, seminars and lectures.
Prior to this Bruce was the Career Advisor and Liaison to the McCoy College of Business in Texas State University’s Career Services office. Bruce joined the career services team in October 2014 and provided coaching and consultation to students and alumni about career paths and then assisted them with developing and implementing strategies to accomplish their goals. In addition, Bruce served as the Internship Coordinator for the university where he provided support and assistance to the faculty intern coordinators within the academic departments at Texas State as well as employers seeking advice about how to design and implement an internship program.
Bruce has over 20 years of experience in recruiting and workforce development. Prior to joining Texas State he managed the human resource activities for a large regional CPA firm in San Antonio and before that served as the Associate Director in the Career Center at The University of Texas San Antonio. In addition, Bruce held a variety of management positions during a 20 year tenure with a Fortune 500 energy company in both the domestic and foreign business units of the refining and marketing sector.
In addition to his work experience Bruce has volunteered his time with many workforce and economic development organizations in and around San Antonio delivering speeches, presentations and panel discussions about a variety of career management topics. He has been recognized by several universities for his role in providing mentorship and career guidance to students.
Bruce is also very active with the veteran community by providing career transition guidance, mentoring and education. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Centurion Military Alliance, a leader in workforce development for transitioning military service men and women, and frequently presents career development topics during their Warrior Workshops.
Bruce has also participated on local high school advisory councils that help students with career development by fostering business/education partnerships, providing career related mentorship, and assisting students with preparing for the world of work through workshops and presentations.
Bruce has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Texas State University and has completed post-graduate work at The University of Texas at San Antonio.
Katie Ramirez is the Director of Career Services at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She has over 15 years of experience in career development and nonprofits with experience in all facets of career development and employer engagement. Katie holds a Master's degree in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor's degree in Art. She is a past President of the San Antonio Colleges and Universities Career Centers Association (SACUCCA) and coordinates quarterly efforts to better connect Texas-wide career consortia.

Glenn is currently the Human Resources - Director of Events for Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, which is headquartered in San Antonio, and serves more than 850,000 members across Texas with more than 60 branches. In his role, he supports the growth of RBFCU in San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Corpus Christi, and surrounding Texas communities.
He is a graduate of the University of Texas at San Antonio - Carlos Alvarez College of Business. His heart is in giving back to the others and with each employers he has supported business development, marketing, community relations, recruiting, and mentoring college students and military families with their employment transition and career development.
In addition, Glenn is very active in the community by serving on the boards of the Centurion Military Alliance, Chair of the St Phillips College Good Samaritan Veterans and Outreach and Transition center and is a member of the University of Texas at San Antonio and Texas State Career Services employer advisory boards
